At Hunter Marine, performance is about a lot more than just boat speed. We believe that true performance encompasses a complete package of maneuverability, ease of handling, balance, acceleration, and stability. The internal systems should also perform reliable and be easy to access. Our chief of engineering, Glenn Henderson, uses state of the art computer technology to combine optimized hull shapes, modern materials, and our most advanced construction methods into a package that performs for you in every respect. The Hunter 41 features a more vertical bow profile to maximize waterline length and decrease pitching motion. A special "stern reflex" on the underbody flattens out the stern wave increasing acceleration and overall speed potential. The result is an extraordinary performance package that feels great under sail and keeps your family comfortable whether you are on the ocean or at the dock. Hunter believes that sailing should be easy and safe for the entire family. One should not have to break a sweat to enjoy a day on the water. The easy to manage B&R rig on board the 41 is matched with a powerful sail plan that puts the effort in the mainsail and a smaller, easily tacked headsail. For ultimal ease, there is a furling mainsail. Proper placement of the running rigging allows all operation from the safety of the cockpit. The standard stainless steel overhead arch keeps the traveler up and out of the way keeping the decks clear of the usual clutter. The arch also provides a great location to mount the bimini, stereo speakers and even overhead lighting, plus it's the perfect handhold while moving around the cockpit.
